Inclement Weather Policy 

In the event of inclement weather on Sundays or weekdays we will publish a notification of cancellations or delays using our automated calling system, on our church website, and Facebook page. We encourage all church members, guests, and staff to observe all safety precautions by staying off roads during dangerous weather conditions. 

Sunday Inclement Weather Policy 

Friendship Baptist Church will make every reasonable effort to be open for 9:00 a.m. Sunday school and 10:00 a.m. worship service every Sunday. 

In the event of extreme weather conditions, Sunday services and other activities may be cancelled to ensure the safety of our members and guests. 

Policy: If Caldwell County is under a Winter Storm or Ice Storm Warning, or a Winter Weather Advisory by the National Weather Service through 8 am Sunday morning, all services and Sunday activities will be cancelled. Otherwise, a decision on delay or postponement shall be mutually decided by the Pastor or Deacon Chairman. 

A designated Deacon is responsible for monitoring the current weather conditions at the church (current and forecasted low temperatures, 24 hour forecast, current and forecasted snow levels, etc.) and advising the Pastor by 8 pm on Saturday night and 7:30 am on Sunday morning. 

Weekday Inclement Weather Policy 

When weather and/or road conditions are adverse during the week, weekday activities or events may be canceled or postponed. Detailed announcements will be announced by using the Automated Phone Call System and posted on our church website and Face Book Page. 

Policy: If Caldwell County Public Schools are closed or dismissed early because of inclement weather, all church activities will be cancelled for that evening, unless otherwise determined by the Pastor and the ministry leader. 

Wednesday night Bible Study Inclement Weather Policy: 

There will be no Wednesday night Bible Study classes when Caldwell County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. If the Wednesday night Inclement Weather Policy is implemented, an announcement will be announced by using the Automated Phone Call System and posted on our website, and Facebook page.
