MUSIC MINISTRY OF FRIENDSHIP BAPTIST CHURCH

Children's Music
Beginning with the children, Friendship Baptist Church believes in getting them involved in music early in their lives.  Many truths and Bible stories can be learned at an early age, that will stick with them all their lives.  There's more than just singing, but learning what the songs are saying is important.  Friendship also begins teaching our children how to play kid's bellplates, bells , and chimes.  As they learn to play these instruments, eventually they will come to realize that have learned how to read music.

Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is made up of dedicated adults who both love the Lord, and love singing.  Rehearsals are held weekly in preparation for upcoming worship services.  The choir is also heavily involved in times of special emphasis, such as Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th Patriotic, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Choir members are also given instruction in proper singing mechanics and techniques.  As Christ gave His all for us, we desire to sing our very best, offered up to Him.

Worship Team
The Worship Team is comprised of the Vocal Praise Team, and the Praise Band.  This is a dedicated group of individuals who have felt the calling to minister through music.  This group focuses more on the contemporary style of music, and leading the congregation in preparation to hear the sermon.  This group desires to lead in the true worship experience, encouraging the congregation to  worship with  that awesome experience of singing to an audience of One.

Solo Ministry
Each week our service includes special music, which rotates on a roster of soloists, and instrumentalists in our church.  Friendship is blessed with many musically talented and gifted  individuals. This ministry allows individuals to express themselves through testimony and singing or playing. Soloists may also arrange for others to sing with them, by forming a group, ie. duet, trio, quartet, or ensemble.  This ministry is a vital part of our church's overall music ministry.
